Growing up with mandolins and guitars in the basement of our split level home in Cumming, Iowa, I was immersed in bluegrass and folk music from the day I was born. I wrote my first song when I was 12 years old and remember playing it back after recording the song on my father's Hi8 tape deck. Since then I have played in several bands and recently recorded my fourth album in 2021. I have loved writing, recording and performing music since the first day I picked up a guitar and find comfort in the ability to reflect my emotions and experiences through written lyrics and chord progressions.
