Michael started his farm at the age of 25 on his grandparents land in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey. Unlike most farmer families, Michael has had no history of farming in his family yet with the support of his father they have since learned to grown and tend to ten acres of organic blueberries. Their farm is located in the very town the highbush blueberry was cultivated from the wild, by Elizabeth White, in Pemberton NJ. Michael plans to expand his farm beyond blueberries and hopefully begin a robust legacy of farming that he may some day pass on to his 2 year old son.

The land is managed with not only organic inputs but things like the beauty of the land or the health of the ecosystem are always frontmost in our practices. The land and thus the product is loved and cared for.

Michael ownes and operates Mike's Blueberries and has done so for 10 years. He grew up in New Jersey, went to college in Colorado, spent 4 years in the Forest Service then started Mike's Blueberries.
