Mick Klug Farm
Vendor
Mick Klug grew up on a 40-acre farm his parents established in the 1930s. He took ownership in 1974, and has expanded the land to over 120 acres. Mick, his daughter, Abby Schilling, son-in-law, Mark Schilling, and Mark's brother, Ben, and sister-in-law, Bae, all work together to manage the farm, several farmers market stands, and sales to many restaurants in Chicago. Mick's wife, Cindy, daughter, Amy, and granddaughter, Lola, and grandson, Beckett, are also a big help! The Klug family grows many varieties of fruits and vegetables, employing approximately 25 employees seasonally. The Klugs and Schillings are committed to sustainable agriculture and promoting locally grown produce. Mick has been providing fresh produce to the Green City Market for over a decade and to City of Chicago Farmers Markets for over 35 years.
