About
Zephyr Farm offers a diverse mix of organic vegetables, as well as select fruits (fig, grape, persimmon, and quince, plus berries on a U-pick basis). We are located on Gales Creek and farm about 6 acres in total. We are committed to using the farm as a basis for building community and improving food access, so we use sliding-scale models to determine pricing; we invite our CSA members to engage with the farm's mission and vision beyond simply picking up produce; and we prioritize time and resources for partnerships with those working for justice in the food system, especially in rural Washington County.

Production Practices
Use Only Organic Materials Perennial Crops
We are certified organic by Oregon Tilth, assuring our customers that there are no herbicides or chemical fertilizers used on site. And we believe that small farms should be ecologically responsible and innovative, so we have embraced techniques like cover cropping, crop rotation, hedgerows and beetle banks, minimal/reduced tillage, maximally conservative irrigation, nutrient management planning, and so on, to go beyond the minimum requirements of the organic certification. We also grow a select range of perennial crops, with a special interest in those that are tolerant of drought, as is characteristic of our region.
