About

Clay and Jen Stem started their farm in 2017 with the vision of supporting their community by providing fresh, locally grown microgreens, produce and raw honey. They are thankful for those early years of the farm operation which taught their children, Chase and Grady, that social and environmental change is possible with small scale, natural farming. In 2023, making it through the pandemic, life threw a few hurdles that caused them to make some tough choices. After five years of full-time production, they shut down the microgreen and produce operation. From there, Jen continued working full-time at the Harry S. Truman VA Hospital and Clay took a full-time role at The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri. Their love of honey bees and this amazing community keeps them invested in the Columbia Farmers Market to this day. Clay and Jen keep honey bee hives on their 10 acre property so that they can continue to offer their community some of the best local raw honey and beeswax products around. They are unable to attend every market like they did from 2017-2022 but work hard to prepare their products for one to two markets per month. They greatly appreciate the incredible support this wonderful community has shown them for all these years.
