About
Mora Mora Farm is a one-acre, mixed vegetable farm in Troutdale, Oregon. Established in 2018, we started through the Headwaters Incubator Program. We grow over 40+ vegetables, including greens, roots, highly seasonal items, and more! We have a thriving CSA program, sell to local restaurants, and work closely with local non-profits addressing food insecurity around Portland. The farm is currently owner-operated and while we grow well-known Western produce, we are working to push the market and expand demand for Asian heritage crops.
Production Practices
Mora Mora Farm's production practices focus on soil health and boosting the biological activity of the soil through use of compost, cover crops, and minimal tillage. Instead of using chemical pesticides to manage pests, we use beneficial insects and physical barriers such as row cover and insect netting. Because of our small-size, we have chosen not to be certified, but we do employ practices that both meet and exceed 'organic-certified' requirements. We are considering organic certification in the future.
Our production is also focused around standardized, raised beds, that allow us to maximize our production for the current space we are in. We are able to currently grow food for over 100 families on our small acreage as well as maintain a high customer retention.
