Happy Cow Home Decor by Renander Photos is the brainchild of Jan Castle Renander. Jan is a photographer and enjoys sharing the beauty, and sometimes comedy, found within Iowa, especially country life in Iowa. Because she lives on a farm, Jan's photography features landscapes, farm animals and the like. Jan uses her photos to create canvas prints, framed prints, small wall plaques, magnets, mugs, key chains, calendars, and similar products. Many of Jan's photos are enhanced to produce wall art and then creatively framed - by Jan, of course.
Jan's partner in this endeavor is her daughter-in-law, Kate. Kate is an artist who specializes in wire wrapping. She creates unique silver wire jewelry, everything from earrings to bracelets to pendants to glamorous necklaces. Since each design is hand crafted, no two pieces are alike. Each truly is a work of art. In the world of jewelry makers, Kate's attention to detail, creativeness and high quality stand out.
By partnering together, Jan and Kate can help the customer decorate themselves or their homes!
Jan spent 25 years as a newspaper photographer, then another 13 years as a college instructor. After leaving the newspaper industry, Jan opened her photography business. She began with sports photography, which continues as her first love, but several years ago branched out into the home decor world. Because the Renander family raises cattle, Jan has an ample supply of bovine models and lots of potential landscape scenes to photograph.
Kate grew up in Madison, WI, but moved to Iowa in 2017 to join the Renander family. Always the creative type, Kate is an accomplished seamstress, loves cosplay, painting, gardening and creating jewelry.
