The Oaken Bowl

Bowls etc. from local trees

Description

The artists, Jay and Andrew Morse, use local wood from downed trees to create functional works of art. The art is truly local – each item has the name of the street in Northeast Florida that the tree came from. Wood used from storm fall is chosen for it’s character such as spalting – pigmentation and dark dotting, winding lines and thin streaks of red, brown and black.
