About
River Ridge is a four season fruit, vegetable, and cut flower farm in Portland, CT. We use no-till, regenerative practices on all 15 acres to produce the very best quality products while adhering to the national organic standards. We are here to build up the health of our soils, bolster the resiliency of our community, and share the joy of eating seasonally.
Production Practices
We are no-till, human scale farm. We are taking over a historically conventional farm, and are not yet able to be certified organic, however all our practices adhere to national standards.

Dakota and Matthew are a husband and wife team who have been growing food together for eight years. Prior to starting their own business, Matt and Dakota spent years managing different vegetable operations throughout New England. They are passionate about building systems, soil, and community. Together they love good food, and love to grow it! In 2020 they made a great choice in hiring Caleb Connor who passionate about well-being and brings big enthusiastic energy to the farm. Caleb is a dedicated friend and invaluable team member who is always willing to jump in where ever is needed.
