I design and fabricate handcrafted sterling silver jewelry with gemstones and glass using traditional silversmithing techniques. All the jewelry is created at my bench using handcrafted methods making each piece unique. I have been silversmithing 15 years and find that there are always new techniques and designs that inspire me to continue my artistic journey..
Production Practices
Traditional silversmithing pactices are used to produce my jewelry. After designing a piece of jewelry on graph paper, I construct the jewelry at my bench using a torch, solder, files, solid silver sheet, various gauges of wire and hand tools. My jewelry and settings for gemstones are fabricated at my bench.
I was trained over a 2 year period by Allison Ferris of St. Augustine. I have continued my journey of jewelry making by exploring various gemstone setting techniques, polymer clay, fused glass making and combining other metal with silver.
