100 Artisan Foods LLC
Specialty Food Artisan
My family and I came from our native Mexico to Atlanta back in 1995. We opened ZOCALO RESTAURANT in Midtown which has been voted Best Mexican Restaurant by the media and locals for many years.
Back in 2008 when the stock market crashed my family was forced to shut down two of our existing restaurants by that time; one of them in Decatur and the other one in Grant Park. We were just able to keep alive Zocalo in Midtown however the revenue was not enough to cover my siblings and my paycheck. There is where I decided to split roads and continue just as a silent partner.
In 2009 I started selling SALSAS and TAMALES in the St Phillips Farmers Market, yep... this where all this story begun... First Saturday I went I sold out in 2 hours. The next Saturday I double the amount of product and sold out again in two ours...there is when I thought " I believe I just found my way of living..."
In 2009-2010 I focused on selling my products in Farmers Markets at that time I used to attend as many markets as I could 8 or 9 per week maybe...
In 2010 y started 100% Artisan Foods LLC and started selling retail.
In 2016 I returned back to our roots to continue selling our products in some Farmers Markets, including St Philips. When COVID started in 2019 one of my family members got sick pretty bad. We also started to have staff shortage at Zocalo and that is why I decided to quit Markets to help at the restaurant and get focus on our retail customers of 100% Artisan Foods LLC.
2020 COVID continued and unfortunately me and 4 family members were hit pretty bad. Good thing is by the end of the summer everything started to settle down....
And here we go... 2022 to come back again stronger than ever to keep serving our regulars for many years ahead.....
