Grew up in small town MA and moved to the Tampa area in 2004. Throughout high school I was always into art, especially Mixed Media. I believe my artistic talents came from my father who was a skilled carver/woodworker. My husband Matt, and I got married in March 2020 right before the pandemic (rather than a honeymoon) we decided to buy a jet ski as a means to get outside and safely distance ourselves. It was during this time that I started to fall head over heels in LOVE with the ocean, FL ecosystem, marine animals and seashells. I collected seashells wherever we went. I started getting creative with my fun organic beach finds. I began making home décor and gifts for friends and family. I started selling at a local Farmers Market every Saturday as I was working a full-time M-F job. With each Market I attended, I learned something new and saw a bigger potential. In 2021 after months of Zoom calls and feeling like I was chained to computer with never-ending e-mails, I resigned from my corporate job of 16+ yrs. It was one the best decisions I could have made for myself. I'm outdoors, I'm able to be creative, I'm happier, healthier, and truly empowered. -You get what you put in! I couldn't have done it without the unwavering support of my husband Matt. Always trying to find ways to make my life easier. Helping at Markets, loading & unloading my vehicle. Encouraging me on days when I need a push and making sure I "take a break" on the days where I've worked too much. For taking me out on the water and for our safe returns. For dealing with all the shells, and weird things I bring home. I truly couldn't and wouldn't want to do it without him. Grateful for my Mom who has always been an inspiration and example of a strong woman. For sharing my creations with friends and family up North and always supporting my wild dreams. For my wonderful Mother-in-law for her encouragement and help with collecting shells in all types of crazy weather. For the fantastic Team at Tampa Bay Markets, Inc. for providing such wonderfully organized successful Markets across the Bay and to my fellow vendors who are now considered friends. For my old, new, near, & far CUSTOMERS! It's because of all of you that I'm able to continue to do what I absolutely love. Thank you ALL
