Our small family farm is nestled in the Cascade Foothills of the Willamette Valley. We have a 10 acre orchard of Certified Organic Sacajawea Hazelnuts, with 17 more acres coming into production that are a mix of Sacajawea and McDonald varieties. Our family has been farming in Oregon since 1884. We have only recently gone nuts with our filbert orchard! The Lackner farm is currently tended by three generations of Lackners. Our family is dedicated to raising the highest quality product and our orchard has been managed with organic practices since the very first day it was planted. We are delighted to share our minimally processed Organic Sacajawea Hazelnuts directly from our family to you. The varieties we grow are prized for sweet flavor, thin skin and high oil content and always test in the top three for best flavor. The possibilities are limitless! We hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
Use Only Organic Materials
Cover crop on orchard ground is mulched into soil. We planted a flowering hedgerow to attract beneficial insects.
Joe and Brad Lackner
Joe (Dad) and Brad (Son) both work in the orchard with Brad currently doing the bulk of the orchard labor. Sarah (daughter) and Cindy (Mom) help out as often as they can.
