About
White Gate Cattle Co. is a family cow-calf to finish Angus based beef farm located just south of Carroll, Iowa. Our focus is on producing highly marbled natural beef. We offer an assortment of premium beef cuts by the pound, as well as beef quarters and halves. From start to finish our daily decisions are driven by producing a high quality product with an excellent consumer eating experience in mind.

Production Practices
To ensure consistent quality our efforts start with genetic selection, followed by 2 1/2 years of daily decisions revolving around an excellent dining experience. Our beef is either born on our farm or near by family farms using our breeding Bulls. We are blessed with great resources to raise our calves on pastures and grass diets followed by finishing diets of grain, grass, and ethanol by-products. To help increase our marbling and tenderness we grow our beef without the use of growth hormones. With our cattle being born on our farm or close to home from start to finish we're able to avoid a lot of the stresses that may cause the use of antibiotics. In the rare cases where antibiotics are used, we follow all use guidelines, and keep accurate records to ensure quality and safety. In addition to cattle we raise corn, soybeans and hay. No-till, minimal till, and cover crops have worked well on our rolling row-crop ground of Guthrie and Carroll Co.
