Hi! I’m Liesel Anne, the founder, designer, and maker behind The Singing Little Bird. Ever since I was young, I wanted to own my own business, but I had no clue that it would be in the paper world!
I graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in health care, but throughout college, I was always designing things and hand-making gifts, thank you cards, and more. After graduation and a few years into the “real world” I took the leap and am now able to fully focus on my wonderful customers and personalized stationery and greeting cards at The Singing Little Bird. What began as a hobby and a childhood nickname has turned into a life-changing passion. In everything that I make, I strive to connect people (hence the old-fashioned paper goods) and spread joy in people’s lives.
I'm currently living in Lawrence, Kansas with my husband, our kitten (Dublin) and our puppy (Vienna).
A FEW FUN FACTS:
- My husband (Sean) and I got married in June of 2019. He is the numbers and business guy for the shop - our real CFO- and he is such a great help when coming up with new ideas and efficiencies! Without him, this shop wouldn’t be possible.
- We DIY-ed our entire wedding, so we can really relate to all of you DIY brides out there!
- I am a huge believer in power naps. 18-30 minutes you guys — try it before you knock it - it really works!
- Our kitty, Dublin, loves my job because he gets to play and nap in ALL the empty boxes from shop deliveries. - I could eat potatoes for every single meal. No joke.
- We love to travel any chance we get. Paris and Germany are my faves, but even traveling within the US to visit family is a blast!
- I absolutely love my job because I get to wake up each day and talk with wonderful customers (like yourself) and create beautiful personalized stationery and cards for weddings, baby showers, birthdays, graduations, and other milestones. I am so blessed to play a small part in such exciting times of people’s lives! Thanks for shopping small!
