The Sweetgum Spot aims to maintain the tradition of handmade, homegrown, and from scratch living. We offer handmade crochet home goods (reusable alternatives to makeup remover cloths and paper towels), decor pieces (air plant hangers, Christmas Tree ornaments), and accessories (keychains, hair bows). Each handmade item has a story behind it, and love in every stitch!

I am a stay at home mompreneur originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My husband and I moved to Fort Wayne a few years ago, and love living here! I started The Sweetgum Spot to share my love of all things handmade, homegrown, and from scratch and to encourage other young women and mamas to keep these traditions alive and well! I feel further compelled to bring the beauty and value of handmade and handcrafted items to the forefront, as a way of keeping my grandmother's memory alive. She taught me how to crochet, knit, and sew, and the bond we shared was tighter than any stitch we can weave.
