The Local General Store

The Local General Store was created in order to increase accessibility to locally and ethically raised meat. We work with only local farms and get in whole chicken, beef, pork, and venison. We turn these into retail cuts, sausages, pates, and terrines - making sure no part of the animal goes to waste!

We also specialize in artisanal pastries - croissants, tarts, cookies, and quiches. Our pastries feature locally grown and harvested fruits and vegetables. In our savory pastries our meat is also showcased.

The Local General Store was created by Jason Chow and Harley Tunac. They were both born and raised in Honolulu. Both eager to advance their culinary training they moved to San Francisco where they both met and fell in love! Now, we’re home hoping to improve and add value to our local food system.
