Based in Portland and officially launched in 2012 Three Sisters Nixtamal makes organic corn masa using the centuries old, nutritionally-enriching process of Nixtamalization: whole dried organic corn, cooked with limestone and ground in our molino, a stone mill made especially to grind wet nixtamalized corn into fresh masa. We sell the masa(dough), tortillas and the nixtamalized corn for posole in Organic GMO-free yellow, blue and white corn and landrace and locally-grown corns when available.
Our fresh organic corn masa is essential to making our tortillas and potosinas or can be used to make your own tortillas, sopes, gorditas or tamales.
