I discovered these market baskets many years ago and fell in love with them. The African Market Baskets are also known as Bolga Baskets. Beautiful, one of a kind baskets handwoven by the village women of Ghana using elephant grasses. Each basket is uniquely woven and colorful. Many have goat skin leather handles. They are very durable and will last for many years. Great for farmers markets. the beach, shopping or as a home decor.
I also hand designed the One of a Kind Starfish Sun Catchers. They are designed with a large white 5 finger starfish and accented with beads, jewels, crystals, wine corks or a combination of all. They are each anchored with a gemstone, sea shell, or a Murano glass pendant. They make a beautiful addition to your home or a unique gift for that someone special.

I am a retired teacher after spending 43 years in the class room and loving every one of them. My professional area of expertise was working with special needs children. I was truly blessed to have had the opportunity to work with these special human beings. After retirement, I am pursuing my second love and that is art. By promoting the sale of African Market Baskets, it allows me to continue giving back to education as a portion of each sale goes back to the village for education and/or medicine.
