Bodhi's Light

Our mission is to illuminate lives one candle at a time. Our vision is to spread joy and light using vegan and cruelty-free ingredients. We started making candles as gifts to give light, love, and hope back to healthcare heroes who saved our co-founder’s life.

They gave us the gift of light and hope in 2019. Back then our cofounder was coming home from the grocery store and he was suddenly struck by a vehicle. He broke both femurs, his pelvis, his cheek bones, upper and lower jaws, with massive blood loss.
We didn’t know if he’d make it. When he survived, we knew we needed to thank his trauma team for saving his life; that’s when our candle company, Bodhi’s Light was born. The company is named after our son, who is the light of our lives. We decided to create a sustainable candle company that gives light back. Each quarter we donate Gratitude Candles to local healthcare heroes.

Unlike soy, which is genetically modified; all our candles are made of non-GMO coconut wax, a lead-free cotton wick, and high quality fragrance and essential oils. Each candle is body safe and non-toxic. All our vessels are reusable. Our candles are good for you and our planet. 🌎 We proudly use coconut wax to pay homage to our heritage where coconut is grown, the Philippines and Thailand. We also use scents inspired by the Philippines, Thailand, and the California Coast.
