Nossa Familia Coffee

Our company’s roots are in relationships. In 2004 we were founded with the single relationship of FAMILY - Augusto’s family farm in Rio de Janiero, Brazil is the reason Nossa Familia exists. When he came to Portland, Augusto tried his hand at engineering, but quickly realized coffee was in his core. He started shipping roasted coffee from the family lots in Brazil and selling it in small quantities out of his garage. In 2012 we were able to move to our current facility in the Pearl District and take on the challenges of growing our roasting program as wholeheartedly as we establish relationships with new coffee farmers. In 2013 we opened our Espresso Bar with great help from the community and a successful Kickstarter campaign. 2016 we opened a second location on SW 3rd and Clay. In 2017 we opened cafes in Downtown LA and at 20th and Division in SE Portland, and 2018 continues to present new and exciting changes. Nossa Familia will continue to evolve, but our values on social and environmental responsibility, quality coffee, and relationships are deeply rooted in our heritage and will always serve as the guiding force of our growth.
