We are Detroit's first neighborhood butcher shop and restaurant hybrid. As both a full service, two-time James Beard Award nominated restaurant and whole animal butcher shop, our business serves as a community gathering place. Our purpose is to promote, utilize, and advance a healthy, local, and sustainable food system. We work directly with local farmers and producers to guarantee that you're getting quality meat from people we have vetted and trust. Because we know where our animals are raised, what they eat, and how they were slaughtered, we can not only promise great taste, but we can also ensure you’re getting meat that is ethically harvested, healthier for you, and better for the planet. We buy whole animals and break them down in-house with a never-frozen mentality.
