Jammed with Love IA

In July of 2020, I decided to start a small company called Jammed with Love; to which I make small batched gourmet jams. Initially the concept was to be able to raise additional funds, through sales, to help with my daughter’s present and future financial needs, and hopefully one day take my place in running the company. Essentially building a company for her future as a young adult with autism.

Then it dawned on me... this needs to be so much bigger than just our household. Here in the heart of Iowa, our community has a moderate to high number of children and young adults with an array of physical and mental challenges. Challenges that will only go away when they leave this world. This is the perfect place to launch the pilot plan.

The goal is to start a pilot program within our community where young adults with and without disabilities can learn with hands-on training on both sides of a business, production, and operations. Purchasing, production, advertising / marketing, budgeting, logistics, customer relations, and sales strategy. Teaming up and becoming an affiliate through our local high school’s Edge Program, where students can job shadow and have one-on-one training.

Discovering their passion and create a step-by-step outline to help them build their success and become self sufficient as adults. The skill set they can learn while working one on one with my team can assist in their careers and their day to day lives.

Our goal is to edify society’s preconceived views on individuals with mental and physical challenges. Our desire is to empower these uniquely gifted individuals and their futures prospective.

The Bigger Picture – become a pilot program that others can use to implement into their fields of employment. By taking what we have done and coaching other businesses platforms, the continuing of growth into other communities outside of our own and going nationwide.
