Three Little Mushrooms is a North Portland based mushroom farm. We practice natural and ecologically responsible farming. We love growing high quality, gourmet mushrooms for our friends, family and neighbors.

Production Practices
Permaculture Design Free Range
Our mushrooms begin their life cycle in a highly controlled and organized laboratory. We generate our own spawn using locally sourced grains sterilized in reusable mason jars. Our substrate recipe is comprised of sawdust (a forestry by-product) and bran as an additional nutrient source. Our fruiting room is compact and energy efficient, we cycle our species throughout the season to minimize energy used on heating and cooling.
As with all wood loving mushroom production our operation is extremely water efficient, using less than 1 gallon of water per pound of mushrooms brought to market.
Our leftover substrate is composted into soil and used in vegetable garden plots.
