Out Late with Diana Di Gioia

Cape singer/songwriter Diana Di Gioia describes her original music as combining “word nerd lyrical skills with rock ‘n’ roll energy”. An award winning singer songwriter, she moves joyfully from acoustic rock to blues to folk-pop, with lyrics that are funny, sexy and smart. She'll be joined by Out Late band mate Melody Masi on harmonies and percussion.

The Cape Cod Times calls Diana's songs “Finely honed narratives with telling details”. Diana's first CD was featured on the nationally syndicated American Public Radio Series "This Way Out". Whether she’s singing about growing up in rural Vermont or strutting Commercial Street in her “Ptown Pants”, Diana's music is sure to engage and delight.

She performs frequently with her band, Out Late, featuring Di Gioia on vocals and rhythm guitar, J Hagenbuckle on lead guitar,  Melody Masi on backing vocals and Melissa Weissman on bass. Together their sound is upbeat, guitar driven, and powered by danceable rhythms, with influences from surf to rockabilly to swing blues. Out Late with Diana Di Gioia has performed at The Cape Cod Women's Music Festival, Payomet Performing Arts Center & Eastham’s First Encounter Coffeehouse, along with festivals, coffeehouses and First Night celebrations on Cape Cod and beyond.
