Nostalgia is a very powerful emotion. As a daughter of a former diplomat I rely on it everyday of my life to hold on to memories, friends and places that I may never see again. I began art after I miscarried my twins and lost my father. Art gave me a voice without speaking and colors to my strongest moments of Nostalgia.
One day, my sister-in-law told me to share my art with the world. So, I set an instagram account, then a society6 account and finally an Etsy shop. I want to share my art with the local community.
My art consists mainly of fluid acrylic canvas art and art prints. All inspiration has been taken by my personal journey in life down to the color selections. My selection will also include some artwork done by my mother who has sold many paintings around the world. Her art comes from her buddhist upbringing and consists many features of buddhism. Together my mother and I are Nadi Colors.
Bioengineer by profession, mother of two, Sri Lankan by birth, wife of a Dr. While taking time off from her career to deal with grief of loss of her babies & father, I began doing art as a form of therapy. Now I want to share it with the world.
