KDCROP FARMS is a woman owned, family run farm in the heart of Chaplin, CT in the Last Green Valley by Kelly Caisse. We offer a homegrown flavor to each jar of jam, pickles, relish, chutney, and salsa because we grow our own vegetables and fruits from start to finish. We use organic techniques to farm and create a low carbon footprint due to our dedicated use of hand tools, therefore making our products all the more tastier and safer to eat! Every jar is expertly made at CLiCK (Cooperative Certified Kitchen in Windham, CT. We have been farming and selling our products at farmers markets and shops since 2006.

Production Practices

Integrated Pest Management Crop Rotation Cover Crops No Till

We grow and use our farm raised vegetables and fruit to make our jams, jellies, pickles, chutney, relish and salsa. Only natural amendments are used on our farm. Free of chemicals. We mostly use hand tools to decrease our carbon food print on the Earth and improve our soil health. We have a manufacturing license with the CT DCP to produce our value added products at a cooperative certified kitchen in Windham, CT.

I was born in a suburb of Chicago but have lived in Naugatuck, CT since 1989. I have lived on the Eastern side of CT since 2002. I am a first generation farmer that has a BS degree from UCONN in Animal Science. I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Tanzania, East Africa from 1999-2001. I have my husband and 2 children running this family farm.
