I am a professional artist and my business, Chick Artistic Creations, consists of the art and crafts that I design and make myself.. My products consist of fine art note cards and prints that mostly center around animals and nature; hand painted rock animals, hand crafted refrigerator magnets, and Steampunk/Victorian style jewelry.
Beverly became interested in art and crafts at an early age. She grew up in southern California and lived there over 30 years before finally moving to Boise, Idaho in 1991.
She attended Fullerton Community College where she earned an Associates Degree in Fine Art. She also took many art classes at Boise State University.
Beverly is a colored pencil, mixed media artist who works with many types of mediums including graphite pencil, pastel, acrylic and watercolor. She is a member of the Colored Pencil Society of America. She uses an unusual technique that involves combining various mediums together with the solvent, Turpenoid. This technique is actually a combination of both drawing and painting.
Beverly has her own business, Chick Artistic Creations, where she works as a freelance artist, illustrator and art teacher. Although the main subjects of her art are animals and nature, she does not limit herself to that. She also enjoys designing her own Steampunk Victorian Style jewelry.
Beverly’s art has been featured in Cat Fancy Magazine, Enterprise Magazine, and in Star Trek and comic/Sci-Fi conventions. A pastel portrait she painted of Princess Diana was published in 2007, in a coffee table book, Diana in Art, (Caxton Publishing). In 2017 She was commissioned to create the cover art for a music CD by Richard Soliz and The Blue Rayz.
Beverly has exhibited her art in various venues, galleries and juried art shows in Idaho. She has won several awards, including Best of Show at the Art & Soul Juried Show in 2020, and several first, second & third place awards, along with a People’s Choice award at the Western Idaho Fair Juried Art Show in Boise.
