Poteau Mountain Craftworks

We’re a husband-and-wife team who decided to turn a challenging move into an opportunity to build something of our own. After relocating to a very remote area with limited job opportunities, my husband had a difficult time finding work. That’s when he decided to turn a lifelong talent and love of woodworking into a small business.

He discovered his passion for working with wood back in high school, where “shop” class was always a favorite. What started as a way to create a job for himself has grown into something we both truly enjoy.

Our business name, Poteau Mountain Craftworks, was inspired by our home at the foot of Poteau Mountain. We chose “Craftworks” because we wanted our business to be about more than just woodworking—we love creating all kinds of unique, handcrafted pieces.

Today, we specialize mostly in rustic furniture and home décor, combining the character of natural materials with practical, one-of-a-kind designs. We especially enjoy custom orders and the opportunity to bring our customers’ ideas to life.
