Kombucha may be trending, but it's been around for thousands of years! Longer than most drinks. Kombucha has been documented as early as 221BC in China, and Japan! However made it to the US much later. Well.. What the heck is it? The easy way to put it is that kombucha is fermented tea. It is lightly bubbly, with a little 'tang'. Kombucha is primarily made with green or black tea and is known for probiotic benefits.
Well, why is Apple Blossom Kombucha so special? Because we make kombucha as close to the traditional way as possible while sourcing as local as we can. We use a blend of teas, MI sugar, and we use the REAL fruits, vegetables, and herbs from farmers we know! (SHOUT OUT Sarah, Tony, Rebecca, Robbie, Emma, Steve, Daria, Brenda!) We like to know where our ingredients come from all while supporting local!
Not only are our ingredients local, but all of our design work, our bottles, boxes, labels caps, and much of our equipment is from Michigan as well! We work hard to keep things local, because the money we spend here, stays here!
Unlike many of the large kombucha companies our kombucha is unpasteurized and raw. However still tested and analyzed in a Michigan Lab & Distillery! We like to be as transparent as possible in many ways. One of which is why our kombucha will always be bottled in glass! To keep things as pure, clean, nontoxic, and as fresh for you as possible.
