La Comelona is a small-batch, all-natural salsa company based in Portland. Using fresh ingredients and traditional chiles from Mexico, La Comelona makes salsas with an alchemy-like process — by roasting dry chiles and bringing out a smokey flavor that layers nicely with fresh onions and garlic. Through La Comelona, the founders hope to preserve its traditional salsa recipes — one of the most fundamental and indispensable elements of the Mexican kitchen.
