TSROSENBAUM ART

I am a self-taught artist who paints in various mediums and styles with recent focus on portraits and Mid-Century Modern paintings influenced by Picasso and the post impressionists. More recently I have painted a series of encaustic works that were recently on exhibit. One of my passions is drawing from life and I participated regularly in this activity in my studio, The Scarab Club and EMU Art.. I have exhibited in various venues in Michigan, Illinois, West Virginia and Florida. He has taken numerous workshops and classes over the years including the Ann Arbor Art Center. He is a member of the Scarab Club in Detroit, The Arts Alliance of Ann Arbor, The Ann Arbor Women’s Artists Association, Ft. Myers Beach Art Association (FMBAA), and The Alliance for the Arts (Ft. Myers). His work is in the homes of collectors locally and nationally. I recently had a solo exhibit at The Kerrytown Concert House this March and April 2019; and another solo exhibit there three years ago. I recently (2017) exhibited at the Mars Gallery, Chicago, Il. This was a two-man show with his twin brother. I shown have exhibited at local coffee shops, restaurants, Riverside Gallery in Ypsilanti (Go Figure 20), and participated in the Westside Art Hop the past two years. .I participated in Paint Dexter and FMBAA Plein Air Festivals a number of years (2013-2019). I was awarded a merit ribbon at the 2018 FMBAA Festival. My paintings have been twice selected for the Power Art competition, co-sponsored by the Ann Arbor Art Center and The Arts Alliance and prints of the works are on switch boxes in downtown Ann Arbor. “Traffic,” one of the works, is a block from The Art Center on Main and Liberty. I have an art gallery and studio at 2725 Packard Road in Ann Arbor and hosts painting workshops, art critique groups and mentoring at this location. I am a licensed clinical psychologist and owner of Therasupport, a brain injury rehabilitation center in Ann Arbor. I have lived in the Ann Arbor area since 1974.
