I am a faculty member in the Department of Economics at Iowa State University. My research team is planning a study examining consumers’ preferences for honey produced from hives located in different habitats, including conventional agricultural areas, prairie strips, and solar farms.

We are interested in setting up a small research table at the Downtown Farmers’ Market on one or more Saturdays. Market visitors who choose to participate would complete a brief survey and make choices among different honey products. We would offer each participant a $20 participation incentive, and one of their choices would be randomly selected and implemented as an actual purchase. Participation would be entirely voluntary.
