The Story Behind the Balm: Red Earth Paws was created by Dr. Miranda Davis, who earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Murdoch University in Perth, one of Australia's leading veterinary schools. Years of clinical work in Western Australia meant treating the same problem over and over: cracked, burned, and split paw pads caused by harsh red dirt, blazing hot pavement, and rough scrub. The balms owners brought in were almost always petroleum-based—effective in the short term, but not what a veterinarian wants to send home with a patient.
