Good Luck is a community-minded retail space offering a curated collection of art & vintage home goods.
At Good Luck, we believe in the power of creating a space that you love, so we curate our collection to be affordable for folks with different income levels and lifestyles. We believe in creating opportunities for independent artists and makers so we feature people who are creating beautiful things with their own two hands. We believe in supporting the causes we care about, so we give 10% of each sale to partner organizations working to make our world a better place. We most recently partnered with Focus: Hope and Alternatives for Girls.
A born & raised Metro-Detroiter, Josie has always loved exploring culture both inside and outside of Detroit. She studied Art History & Visual Culture at Michigan State University before moving to Philadelphia, PA to earn her Masters Degree in Arts Administration. While in Philadelphia she worked at an immersive non-profit art museum where, amongst a long list of duties, she ran the shop attached to the museum. Through her education and experience she found her passion of using her skills to celebrate and support emerging artists. She returned to Detroit in 2019 and began building Good Luck Shop, a space that focuses on supporting small artists, supporting local organizations, and creating a curated collection that is more affordable for customers by selling vintage pieces in addition to original artwork.
