Phoebe painted this circular calendar to depicts ecological events that happen throughout the seasons in the Virginia Piedmont. The calendar references the structure of the pagan wheel, highlighting solstice and equinox events. One can follow the wheel throughout the year to notice seasonal moments, such as the red fox making snow tracks in the winter or the narrow-leaf mountain mint blooming in the summer.

The artist thoroughly researched and organized the piece in order to provide accurate depictions of native flora and fauna of the Virginia Piedmont. Poster includes an insert with all species name (common & latin).
