My name is DeAnna and I live in Salt Lake City, Utah with my husband and our energetic Australian Shepherd. Living in such a beautiful place with so much to explore, we are often outdoors, hiking, trail running, camping, and backpacking. In the beginning of 2018, I fell skiing and badly injured my knee. With all of my usual outdoor activities out of the question, I began to dedicate more time to my macramé hobby and opened up a little online shop. The shop name comes from a combined love of the desert (the calico cactus) and the mountains (my family has always been into canoeing on mountain lakes).
My dad has been an artist and maker all my life and has been a huge inspiration to me. I sell his beautiful jewelry and woodwork, too!
