I love have a positive effect on the residents of this area. My favorite part of being a barber is seeing the smile that cannot be held back when a young man is turned around to the mirror at then end of the haircut.

I didn't open the shop. I did take it over in 2017 from the previous owner. I was originally opened in 1948. I am, though, trying to keep with the old school barber shop feel. There is a certain vibe in the shop that brings you out of the modern and back to a simpler time.

I had a goal of starting mt own line of men's grooming products from the time I was still in barber school and began doing research then. As of now I have my beard oil, which is my own blend, mustache wax, and a salve that is good for dry skin and sore muscles.

Prior to getting into barbering, I spent 11 years as an active duty U.S. Marine before transferring into the Idaho Air National Guard in 2014. I have only three years to go to reach retirement!
