Hello! My name is Nana and I am a winemaker producing Herbal Wine. Herbal Wine is an age old tradition that even the Greeks, Romans and ancient Egyptians practiced - similar to how kombucha was once a folk method until very recently. I infuse wine grape varietals with healthful herbs and botanicals. My current release is Hibiscus Wine. I infuse Pinot Noir with organic Hibiscus flowers and at only 4.5%abv (similar abv to hard kombucha - traditional wine can be well over 14.5%abv). My wine is low intervention with no artificial flavors, just 5 ingredients:
1.Organic herbs
2.Non-GMO wine grapes, premium, sourced from a family owned supplier in Northern California
3.Non-GMO yeast
4.Filtered water
5.Sulfites (a powerful antioxidant, we add 7ppm, minimal and well below the government limit of 350ppm, and in line with natural wine amounts)

I have my Federal TTB Bonded Winery Basic Permit and an ABC 02 Winegrower license to allow me to produce and sell my Herbal Wines and I produce out of a certified winery.

I grew up in Maryland and went to Sidwell Friends. Thereafter, I went to Duke, UCLA and USC for undergraduate and post graduate studies. In 2012, I competed for Miss Maryland USA and won! I went on the Miss USA competition and ended up winning that as well. I went on to work at Harper's Bazaar magazine and I currently work in tech while also making Herbal Wine too!
