Production Practices
I work full-time off the farm and my acreage. I have free range, cage free hens. I use very little if any chemicals. I try to stick with pyrethrum based insecticides to minimize the impact on our natural pollinators. I use mechanical and hand cultivation. Usually by mid-summer I have a weed issue. I’m contemplating using cardboard from boxes for mulching this season. I do have a mulch layer which I have not used a lot. I’m still trying to figure it out. I accept Farmers Market Nutrition program checks and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program checks. I also accept SNAP benefits. I’m able to accept credit and debit cards.
