About

My Mom’s family have been shrimpers since the late 1940s. My great Grandfather built his first Shrimp boat in the cypress swamps of inland Glennville, Georgia and then floated it and his family to Darien Georgia. Our family owns Boone’s Seafood one of the largest docks in the area. Our shrimp is 2nd to none. It is fresh never frozen Georgia shrimp straight off the boat. When I bring the shrimp to market it is typically just 2-4 days out of the Ocean. My Dad started bringing shrimp over 5 years ago to a couple of markets in North Atlanta. When I moved back to Darien after marrying a year later I joined him. The business has since spread to include several markets. It is a family business run mostly by my wife Keerstin and I with help from other relatives on occasion We were pleased to be able to join your market for the last 2-3 months of last season and we were well received. We are looking forward to being back with ya’ll this year.

Production Practices

Our Fresh Georgia Shrimp are wild caught. Once we get them off the boat we package them into 1 quart Ziploc bags in 1pound increments. They are then iced in coolers for the trip to the market. Our shrimp have never been frozen and are typically 2-4 days out of the ocean. Our shrimp are package at a government inspected facility by us. Our labels are also subject to Government approval and simply state the package contains Wild Georgia Shrimp.
