Hello, I'm Brittany, owner of Britt's Bakes. I started this bake shop at the behest of a long-time friend as a hail mary attempt to fulfill a childhood dream before starting pediatric residency this summer. Baking is my creative outlet, my nostalgia, and my all-time favorite expression of gratitude, and I've always wanted to share my creations with more people. From my family's generations old sourdough recipe, to my obsessive quest for the best chocolate chip cookie, to whatever my brain wants to put together this week, I want to bring you both the classics and the experimental. I'm bringing the treats I feed my family, the every-party crowd-pleasers, and the ones that got me through four years of long shifts and late nights. If there's anything that 2020 taught us, it's that life is short, so eat the cookie and chase the pipe dream.

Howdy! I'm an East Texas native in my forth year of medical school chasing a pipe dream of being a baker before starting pediatric residency at the end of the summer. My baking style is a fusion of family heirloom recipes mixed with my own curiosity and experimentation with textures and flavors. When possible, I try to include local ingredients like fruit, nuts, and honey from growers in my hometown.
