Just Bakery of Atlanta is a nonprofit that partners with our neighbors who resettled as refugees on paid job training, professional certification, and living wage work. We focus on local and sustainable ingredients and build community that is more diverse, connected, and compassionate for all.
I started Just Bakery of Atlanta in 2017 after dreaming about working at the crossroads of feeding people and making change for 10 years. I was raised in the Midwest and first came to Atlanta for grad school at Emory. This is now my chosen hometown because of the beautiful community, diversity, culture, and opportunity the metro area can provide. The weather is a nice change too! I live in unincorporated Decatur with my husband, son, daughter, cats, dog, and chickens.
