Mia’s Cocina is a Puerto Rican culinary brand based in New York City, founded in 2021 by Maria Bido. We specialize in authentic Puerto Rican food, cultural culinary experiences, catering, and gourmet specialty products that celebrate the flavors, traditions, and spirit of the Puerto Rican diaspora.

Our mission is to keep Puerto Rican culture alive through food, community, and storytelling. From hands-on cooking classes and cultural events to festivals and catering, we create experiences that bring people together through sabor, tradition, and hospitality.

Mia’s Cocina is proud to be a NYC & NYS MWBE Certified business and NYC DOE Certified Vendor. We have participated in major cultural festivals and community events throughout New York City, including the Loisaida Festival, Boriquen Heritage Festival, and 116th Street Festival.

Our menu features Puerto Rican favorites including empanadillas, alcapurrias, surrullitos, bacalaitos, pernil, arroz con gandules, and our award-winning Signature Flan served in glass jars. In 2024, Mia’s Cocina won Beli’s Best Bite at the NYC Wine & Food Festival for our flan.

At every market and event, our goal is simple: create good food, good energy, and meaningful connections while sharing Puerto Rican culture with the community.
