Moscow Garden Club
Vendor
The Moscow Garden Club was organized in 1949 and is an accredited member of the National Garden Clubs, Inc. (the largest volunteer gardening organization in the world). Our six-fold mission is to (1) beautify our own gardens and to encourage civic planning; (2) promote amateur gardening, the study of horticulture, flower arranging, and other related subjects; (3) contribute to and support projects at the University of Idaho Arboretum; (4) interest children and youth in gardening; (5) support objectives of the Garden Clubs of Idaho, Inc. and the National Garden Clubs, Inc.; and (6) continue to increase membership and participation in Garden Club work. Each spring, we dig extra plants from members' yards, start seeds, and transplant flowers, vegetables, and herbs for our annual plant sale (the Saturday before Mother's Day). For the last 2 years, we have sold our plant-sale leftovers at the Farmers Market, on one Saturday a few weeks after the plant sale.
