A LITTLE ABOUT ELDA GRACE
I have always loved to entertain, cook, and bake for people. I would bake birthday cakes for coworkers, then cupcake orders starting rolling in. Shortly thereafter, we moved to Idaho. I knew I wanted to grow this into a business.

The first thing you need, is a name, right? I like names that really have a meaning behind them. I chose the name Elda Grace Baking Co.

Elda was my paternal grandma. She was a baker of wedding cakes and birthday cakes. She passed away when I was a toddler so she couldn’t teach me everything she knew, but I do have her passion for the art and her mother’s rolling pin, which I still use for smaller batches.

Grace is my birth great grandmother. I was adopted when I was a newborn and I found my birth family a few years ago. The first Christmas after meeting my birth family, I received a goody box in the mail. It had all sorts of yummy treats, including sugar cookies ... and the recipe. These sugar cookies are ah-mazing! This recipe is unlike any other recipe I have ever tried.

So, in honor of my grandma Elda and my great grandma Grace, Elda Grace Baking Co. was born.

A LITTLE ABOUT OUR FAMILY
We are a retired military family. My husband is the business manager who keeps us legal. Haha! My son is my assistant baker who loves to get creative in the kitchen. He makes all our yeast doughs and breads. I truly could not do this without him. I am the one who makes things pretty and I am always experimenting with different flavor combinations.

This business has evolved from mainly cupcakes to so much more. I am so blessed to have my family in this sugar & flour tornado with me.
