Lovin' Mama Farm
Farmer
We are a certified organic, no-till farm in the Mohawk-Hudson Valley region of Upstate NY. We grow 250 varieties of specialty veg, herbs, and flowers on 1.5 acres, plus a greenhouse full of microgreens. Our intensive style allows us to produce high yields on a small space. We offer floral design service in the capital region and beyond using our farm grown flowers. We are committed to feeding our community nutrient dense, delicious, and beautiful food and flowers while tending the land in an ecologically responsible way.

Corinne Hansch and Matthew Leon
Husband/wife team Corinne and Matthew have extensive farming and marketing experience on both the East Coast and the West Coast. Matthew studied EcoAg at the Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA where he focused on soil science, seed saving, and organic farming/marketing. Corinne grew up on a small market garden and has been farming her whole life. We started our farm in Northern California and made the big decision to move back East for family land when our ten year lease got pulled out from under us. Since landing in New York we have turned a fallow and overgrown pasture into a productive organic farm with nine high tunnels. We grow irresistible veggies, like winter greens, salad mix with edible flowers, sungold cherry tomatoes, heirloom tomatoes, fairy tale eggplant, and shishito peppers, to name just a few. We grow microgreens and shoots 10 months of the year, and have signature blends like Vitality Mix and The Purps. We have extensive flower growing experience and specialize in spring cuts from our tunnels like tulips, anemones, and ranunculus, plus all the summer bouquet favorites AND dried flowers for bouquets and wreathes in the fall. We set up our market stand like a European Market, using our hand built wooden boxes and clear chalkboard style signs marking the product and the price. We aim for our stand to be a feast for the senses and bring a dizzying array of fresh produce and cut flowers, ever changing through the seasons, to every market. Our three homeschooled kids play a big role on the farm (they are our best employees, having started when they were babes riding on our backs!) and hopefully our 15 year old will be working markets with us and our niece this season. Finally, we are active in the organic farming world, presenting at conferences, colleges, and garden clubs and volunteering on boards and committees for our markets. We are also featured in Andrew Mefford's book The Organic No-till Farming Revolution, Jesse Frost's podcast The No-till Market Garden and Growers Live youtube channel, and somehow we made it on the cover of Acres (EcoAg) magazine this past spring with a feature article on COVID pivots.
