We're a small farm based in Sunbury, we grow a variety of different microgreens and gourmet mushrooms. Our goal is to produce high quality and nutritious produce in a sustainable and environmentally responsible way. We're not organically certified but we employ organic methods and materials, with a focus on using local sources whenever possible. We use no synthetic pesticides/fungicides or fertilizers. We only started growing in late 2019, so we have been striving to expand into other communities and markets.
Production Practices
Extended Growing Season Use Only Organic Materials Non Gmo
Both our microgreens and mushrooms are grown indoors using low-cost high efficiency LEDs, heated through the use of a wood burning stove in the winter. We are adding rudimentary hoop houses currently to allow us to grow outside in the cooler months. We use organic only microgreen seeds, and source the substrate for our mushrooms from farmers using non-gmo wheat. We use the spent substrate from our mushrooms and residual soil from our microgreens to create rich compost that is ultimately reused for our microgreens and in our own home garden.
