Chestnut Mushroom

Chestnut mushrooms have a look that is very similar to a Shiitake, except that the entire mushroom is edible! This fungus has an awesome nutty and woodsy flavor, as well, the texture is still slightly “al dente” after cooking. The flavor and texture are absolutely wonderful, and are excellent roasted with other vegetables, or when served as an accompaniment for steak, pork, or seafood.
