Oyster Mushrooms

This is a HALF (1/2) POUND box of Mixed Oyster Mushrooms, it will contain approximately equal amounts of each of the Oyster varieties that we are currently growing. Currently, that includes some combination of the varieties listed below:

The King Blue Oyster variety is a very meaty mushroom with a tender stem. This mushroom pairs well with heavier proteins such as beef, lamb, pork, and venison. The King Blue Oyster makes for a great meat replacement for vegetarian dishes and creates an earthiness to pasta dishes.

The Golden Oyster mushroom has a unique fruity aroma similar to fresh-cut flowers and develops a nutty flavor similar to cashews when lightly sautéed. This beautiful Golden mushroom pairs well with roasted chicken and salmon, and it is commonly used as a side dish alongside other roasted vegetables.

The Elm Oyster mushroom is delicate in texture, aroma and flavor. It only takes a few seconds to cook, which makes it an ideal ingredient for Chinese-style stir fried dishes.

The Italian Oyster mushroom is meaty with a great mouthfeel. It is wonderful sauteed, roasted, and even battered and fried!

The Pink Oyster mushroom is a delicate, though meaty, mushroom that is excellent for soups and and dish with a heavy sauce. The flavor is reminiscent of seafood, and it pairs excellently with fish.
